Business Wire | Presentation With Fortune 500 Global Retailer; Packet Pushers Event and Proof of Concept Demonstration will Focus on Real-World Deployments and Benefits

NEW YORK, Nov. 3, 2015 – Viptela, the Software-Defined WAN (SD-WAN) company, today announced that it will participate in three separate events at the Open Networking User Group (ONUG) FALL 2015 Conference that illustrate how enterprises are transforming their networks using SD-WAN technology. The company will focus on real-world deployments of its Viptela Secure Extensible Network (SEN) platform by presenting a case study session with a global  retailer, hosting a Packet Pushers event featuring three of its customers and demonstrating all four major SD-WAN use cases in ONUG’s proof of concept competition.

“The WAN has shown the fastest adoption in SDN,” said Nick Lippis, Co-Founder of ONUG. “And, Viptela has demonstrated this with its large scale deployments of thousands of sites. The ONUG audience will find it educational to learn about the early adopter experiences when these Viptela customers take the stage.”

“The Viptela Secure Extensible Network platform is currently being used by large enterprises to solve their biggest wide area networking challenges,” said Amir Khan, CEO of Viptela. “We will provide attendees at ONUG Fall deep insights into how a large retailer and several financial services organizations are using SD-WAN to transform their networks. Specifically, we will illustrate how these companies have overcome shortcomings in network flexibility, bandwidth and resiliency associated with traditional WAN architectures.”
